| 抄録: | The purpose of this paper is to define a concept of a computer integrated manufacturing system. The integrated manufacturing system has become a strategic issue for most of Japanese manufacturing industries. Recently the production system of multi-items and small quantity by using the JIT or the MRP system is popular in order to quickly respond to changes of the worldwide consumption markets. CIM means the interaction between people and automatic machines with information systems to integrate and automatically execute. CIM concept and the historical development for the effective manufacturing were discussed. |
