Abstract: A series of experiments are carried out to examine the effect of such parameters as size effect on compressive strength and stress-strain curves of concrete, and size effect on the moment-curvature relationships of reinforced concrete beams. Based on the experimental data, the stress-strain curves of concrete made with different size of specimens are proposed and its application for moment-curvature relationship of reinforced concrete beams is discussed. The plastic deformational capacity of reinforced concrete beam is remarkably affected by the size of beam specimen and size of aggregate.
