Abstract: The growth of "hot zone" is considered to be the most important phenomena related to the heat generation on screwed electric contacts as reported in the previous paper. We studied these phenomena theoretically and experimentally. The results of this study are as follows : The critical power which triggers the growth of hot zone is less than 10 watts, and the maximum power consumption on the hot zone reaches a quarter of the initial power consumption on the load.
