抄録: | The up-to-date electrical energy systems are sensitively concerned with meteorological natural phenomena such as lightning discharges, earthquakes, salt contamination etc. in order to maintain the highest security of power supply. The captured energy of solar radiation, as an alternative source, may well be put to practical use if it is expected to have a combined operation with suitable devices of temporary storage, as is the case with the nuclear power and pumping-up hydraulic plant. Based upon the profound experiences on natural disturbances against power systems and apparatus, and also sustained by the information derived from the meteorological satellite schemes, the authors are intending to establish a new branch of technical development on electrometeorology truly useful in the modern life of next century. This paper deals with the related arguments and estimations for the purpose of promoting the research project concerned. |
