Abstract

In recent years, a demand of computer softwares has being grown as the computer systems were widely used in advanced countries. The more advanced computer systems require the development of a large scale software. The development of this kind of softwares requires a large amount of capital investment. Nowadays, the software is recognized as valuable property. However, it seems that the current laws do not provide softwares with enough protection against legally dishonest act. This is due in large part to the characteristics of the software such as intangible property and its new existance which is not directry covered by the current laws. The present study examines the right protected and the feature of software, and discusses the basis for the legal protection of softwares.
