抄録: | Because of their uncertainty in expected output capacity and time duration, the so-called non-conventional energy sources are considered to be insufficient as yet for the purpose of alternating the petroleum in the domain of electric power supply industry. The authors have been developing the possibility of realizing a large scale sea-water pumping-up power station, in which the ocean will be serving as an upper reservoir, and trying to promote the exceptional contribution of those sources through the intervening energy storage by pumped-up sea-water facilitating the smooth operation of electric power systems. This paper describes shortly the present status of non-conventional energy sources together with the detailed configuration of proposed sea-water pumping-up station. The suitable combination of joint operation and the desirable level of technical development of those installations are finally discussed. |
