| 抄録: | The Youth Hostel movement in Japan began in the 26th year of Showa (1951) and has remarkably developed in recent year. The total of the membership in Japan Youth Hostel Association is over 500 thousand in 1969 and it is the largest in the world. But the development was so rapid that there are many problems in it. The contents of it has changed from the origin. So I reviewed the Japanese history of Youth Hostel movement and thougt about hosteling as outdoor recreation, the spirit of Youth Hostel movement and the classification of Youth Hostels. |
