利用者意識と座席選択からみた居場所としての大学図書館に関する研究

Abstract

University library including a new feature called ""Active Learning"" is increasing at the present time. However, the requirement of ""Active Learning"" for each university presents large difference of educational philosophy and regional location. The purpose of this research is to clarify the positioning of each university library which possesses different educational philosophy, and how do the users make their seat choice to work and study. The main results are summarized as follows: the university library is not only a place for reading books, but also for holding a variety of learning activities and communications between students and teachers. The majority of visitors are likely to select seats where they can work easily by themselves. For this reason, it is important to do planning well for dividing the place of library into quiet part and bustling part. And the library is supposed to be able to expose its charm to keep users to stay in the library for a long time
