| Abstract: | We will observe two different adverbial behaviors between English and French: I'-Restriction and the Case-Adjacency Effect. We already have dealt with the Case-Adjacency Effect in Abe (1994) and Abe (1996). Thus we will concentrate on I'-Restriction in this paper, after that the Case-Adjacency Effect is revisited. It is clarified that I'-Restriction and the Case-Adjacency Effect are closely related. This relation is also seen among other languages. |
