Abstract: For the improvement of the adhesive strength of the synthetic adhesives the physical properties of the adhesives and adhesived materials (wood, metal, glass etc.) -i.e., the roughness of the surface of adhesived materials, the thickness and the internal stress of the adhesive's layer-, and the chemical properties of adhesives -i.e., the primary and secondary chemical combination between adhesived materials and adhesives-must be studied. For this reason, recent years the studies about the ues of synthetic chemistry have carried out and practised many ideas (e,g. adhesives bridging between adhesived materials or binding between the adhesived materials by thermosetting reactions of some new resins). In this report, we synthesized several phenol resins. Then we made up the adhesives of several different compositions with avobementioned phenol resins, marketing NBR (synthetic rubber), coumaron resins, epoxy resins and measured those adhesive strength of adhesived materials (wood or iron plate) and discussed about the relation between composition and strength,
