Abstract: | Shiba has a comparative viewpoint of culture. That viewpoint makes shiba catch the relation between cultures or between things in the real world. That can be called a real, relative, and objective viewpoint, too. It needs a selfless viewer. Shiha got it brfore World War II. It was during the war that he made it his real viewpoint as a writer and found his theme for life, what Japan and Japanese are. Shiba described Ryoma Sakamoto in his novel, Ryoma Ga Yuku as the embodiment of what he had experienced and thought during the war. |
