| 抄録: | We deal with the behavior of so-called quasi-modal auxiliaries in this paper. As seen from their name, we anticipate that their behavior resemble that of modal auxiliaries, but in fact they are different in some aspects. Particularly, regarding the combination between modal auxiliaries and quasi-modal auxiliaries, there emerge remarkable differences. In order to explain these differences, we develop the modification theory that was suggested in Abe (1991). |
