抄録: | Utterances can be interpreted non-literally as well as literally. Where do non-literal interpretations come from? In order to answer this problem, we establish four conditions under which interrogative sentences can be uttered literally and the interrogative sentences uttered under the lack of these coditions should be interpreted non-literally. Conversation in classroom and classroom English are performed under the lack of these conditions without non-literal interpretations. These non-natural conversations are performed under the artificial conditions, which we establish in this paper as eight conditions. In order to make classroom English vivid, it is important to change the classroom English under the unnatural conditions into the classroom English under the natural conditions by introducing the idea of non-literal interpretations into classroom English. |
