| 抄録: | It is well known that adverbs can appear in relatively various positions in English. Until now several scholars such as Jackendoff, Emonds, Culicover & Wexler and Keyser tried to explain this matter, but they seem to have failed to account for all occurrences of adverbs sufficiently. As an alternative, we suggest a solution by means of our phrase structure with 'layered' Verb Phrase and Transportability on the strength of Jackendoff (1978)'s analysis. |
