| 抄録: | A method to mode-lock Fabry-Perot laser diodes (F-P LDs) by modulated light injection is proposed. The principle is based on the cascaded injection locking among longitudinal modes in F-P LDs. The structure and the operation characteristics of the modulation-sideband generator are described. Some preliminary experiments done with 1.55μm F-P LDs show the occurrence of the cascaded injection locking among several longitudinal modes. |
