Abstract: In recent years, with the development of urbanization, the traditional food culture of community is gradually disappearing. This paper, which discusses the traditional food made by glutinous rice, is a case study of a county located in a suburban area of Nanjing city, China. The fieldwork mainly includes surveys on the types of glutinous rice food in the focused area, their own cooking methods, and the time periods and frequency for using these food. By investigating these problems above, I describe the status of regional food culture of glutinous rice food.
