| 抄録: | This paper discusses about the usages of Chinese directional complement “lai” “qu” from a cognitive approach. When we conceptualize the external world using directional complement,“lai” can only be replaced by “qu” in some cases. It means that the usage of “lai” and “qu” cannot be described well only using the term of “viewpoint” just as traditional approach does. This paper focuses on the cases that “lai”“qu” cannot be replaced by each other and discusses the constraint by the concept of alignment proposed by Nabeshima 2003. We can draw a conclusion that the selection of “lai” or “qu” reflects the Subjective Construal. |
