Abstract: | All-optical mode locking of Fabry-Perot laser diodes by cw light injection is a useful method to obtain high repetition (> l00Gbit/s) pulse trains. The lasing linewidth of the Fabry-Perot laser diode is one of the key parameters to realize stable mode locking operation. So far,we have observed the mutual injection locking of the main lmodes by using a short optical fiber as an external cavity .In thiis report, we improved the structure of the extemal-cavity, and succeded in observing the injection locking of side modes as well as the mutual injection locking betweem main modes. |
