Abstract: | In all-optical mode locking of Fabry-Perot Laser diodes (F-P LDs), spectral linewidth reduction of F-P LDs is vital in realizing high stability and good reproducibility of the method. A method, which utilizes the reflection at the end of a short optical fiber, is investigated. By optimizing the length and the reflectivity of the short fiber, mutual injection locking between the main longitudinal modes with the aid of the cw light injection could be observed. |
