Abstract

The visual acuity of sport players and the actual condition of the correction were examined by the questionnaire. The number of sports player were 1932, and average age was 19.04 years old. The main results in this investigation are follows. 1. The rate that both eyes are equal to or more than 1.0 together in the naked visual acuity was about 40 %. Also, as for 30 %, both eyes were less than 0.3. 2. The sports player in equal to or less than 0.6 of naked visual acuity experienced a lot of mistakes in sports. 3. The one which corrects visual acuity was usually increasing as the age became high, and were correcting in 23 % of the schoolchild, 32 % of the junior high school student, 41% of the high school student and at the undergraduate, 58 % was correcting. 4. The disposable contact lens became popular rapidly this for several years as the contact lens to use at the time of sports. 5. There was knowledge of the myopia correction operation in 44 % of the whole.
