Abstract: This paper proposes the optimum reclosing operating method. The proposed method calculates the optimum time, taking the case as a standard in which the reclosing is not done. And, the execusion of reclosing time is calculated considering the fault time and the acceleration/deceleration energy got in stores in the generator in the fault. It can be expected that the generator phase angle is suppressed by this optimum reclosing operation. Therefore, the system stability improvement system effect can be expected by carrying out the optimum reclosing, when the fault arose. At present, it has been set at the value which seems to be optimum considering various problems in the reclosing time. However, in this method the system stability improvement effect can not be expected. It was demonstrated that the optimal reclosing method have depression effect of the δ of generation in the computer simulation using Impavt Ver 2.2..
