Abstract: | Anatase-type titanium oxide TiO_2 powders with different crystallinity were synthesized either through hydrolysis of titanium isopropoxde and also from titanium oxysulfate under autogenous hydrothermal condition, followed by the annealing at high temperatures. NO gas decomposition was confirmed by flowing on each sample powders under UV irradiation. The higher performance for the NO decomposition was obtained on the anatase-type TiO_2 powders with the lower crystallinity. The phase transformation to rutile-type structure reduced the performance markedly. |
