高齢者の外出時における休息に関する研究

Abstract

Rest environment is one of the considerations in designing a city for the aging society. In this paper the resting factors of the aged and related factors were discussed. We found out that "conversion things" (objects where primary function is not rest, i. e. a wall) are as effective as rest things (objects intended to be used for rest, i. e. a seat). As a result we found : 1) Generally speaking, there are various kinds of resting factors. 2) Surrounding environment" "stability and cleanliness" and "clothes" are general characteristics of rest for the aged. 3) "Body condition" "means of transport" "weather" "social and cultural rules" "companions" "image of the open" "hobbies" "communication" "resistance through pride" and "purpose of going out" were individual factors. 4) Conversion things are effective in city design in terms of facility, function, design, harmony and cost.
