抄録: The Jamin interferometer device is very popular for the elementary education in experimental physics of university. The class contents are experiments using an interference phenomenon of the light. It is supposed that many students have a hard time to give an interference condition for the badness of the devise operability. In addition, it also have a difficulty in the experimental instruction of students. We propose a device that is superior to conventional equipment in manipulation to perform the improvement of the device operation by students and the instruction method by teachers.

抄録: The purpose of this study was to show whether or not 3 month-long eye movement training increases reading speed for the elderly. 7 elderly subjects (5 men and 2 women) participated in the study and their average age was 75.4 years. The training consisted of moving eyes horizontally, vertically and diagonally 80 times a day. Subjects carried out these ocular exercises 4 days a week for 3 months. The main results are as follows: 1. Speed of reading vertical texts increased significantly. Speed of reading horizontal texts also increased but not significantly. 2. Indicators of eye movement improved significantly but indicators of visual fields did not improve. 3. Eye movements before and after training were analyzed using an eye mark recorder. However, no clear results were obtained. 4. The results showed that 3 month-long eye movement training increased speed of eye movement in the elderly, which led to an increase in reading speed. It was suggested that the training might be especially effective for reading vertical texts.

程度表現「ＰどころかＱ」における反期待の構造

タイトル: 程度表現「ＰどころかＱ」における反期待の構造
著者: 川端, 元子
抄録: This paper examines the sentence “P dokoroka Q”. We use this sentence to emphasize Q by negating P and showing the degree of difference between the two. In this study, the purpose is to observe the semantic function by elucidating how it differs from other comparative constructions in the way in which P and Q are treated. Results of the analysis show that the value of Q is the opposite of the direction of expectation on the scale of the degree of expectation presumed when P is set. In other words, the value of Q is characterized as anti-expectation. The fact that Q is the direct converse of the direction of expectation produces the effect of emphasizing the difference of degree. Also, if a particular direction of anti-expectation does not need, and only the fact that the proposition is not in an expected condition needs to be shown, the expression employed would be “P dokorodewanai” In either case, the intention of the expression is produced by the negation of the movement toward the direction of expectation that is presumed when P is set.

Ｊリーグ発展への道程

タイトル: Ｊリーグ発展への道程
著者: 竹中, 嘉久
抄録: More than 20 years have passed since the establishment of the J League. The J League has grown while going through repeated trial and error episodes, maintaining throughout the common terms “sociality,” “commonality,” and “public benefit.” This type of growth of a professional sport is a pattern that has not been seen before in Japan. Previously, sports did not seek commonality and public benefit. What they sought was sociality. This could be said to be symbolized by the way the scandals of famous athletes and school athletic clubs are taken up as public incidents. Sports reach their conclusion between competitors, competing groups, schools, and some companies. However, new values come into being with each generation. There is a relationship between the region and a sport. It was the J League that raised that problem. This study looks at how the J League has grown this far, and also discusses in detail the history of the growth of the J League in terms of searching for the reason for its growth.
