The theoretical predictions of Huckel's (4n + 2)-rule were approved of a variety of experimental facts. Really, Breslow et al. succeeded in synthesizing a few new aromatics. Accordingly the present work represents an experiment of preparing two new aromatics, i.e. p-dimethylamino-and p-chloro-triphenyl cyclopropenium ion derivatives.
