抄録: Diesel engine exhaust gas is known to be one cause of photochemical smog, which is so damaging to city environments. However, because of its high thermal efficiency and economic advantages, the diesel engine is not easily dispensable. The authors have previously conducted a series of experiments to assess the purifying effects of a diesel gas purification device employing an electric trap. It has been confirmed that an extraction rate of 60～75% for black smoke can be achieved using this apparatus. But the extraction effect for nitrogen oxides (NOx) is insufficient if the electro-trap device is used on its own. To improve its performance, , experiments have now been undertaken using the same device in combination with various types of attached catalysers to oxidise and remove the nitrogen in the exhaust gas. Utilising a commercial 3-way catalyser, it proved difficult to maintain the gas at a suitable temperature, so that no outstanding result could be obtained. Nor was any significant result observed from the use of an ozoniser. However, with a zeolyte catalyser, it was possible to achieve a NOx reduction of 20～30 %. This latter experiment is reported in the present paper.</summary>

抄録: As well known, CDMA possesses such advantages as high capacity, low power transmission, and system flexibility, but it is contradictory suffered from broadband occupancy of wasting finite frequency resource owing to innocent spectrum spreading. Narrowing frequency bandwidth occupied over propagation channels is eager to efficiently develop the high capacity digital transmission as one of the most important key technologies promising effective frequency usage. Narrowing frequency bandwidth both of the primary and secondary modulations has been keenly discussed in these years to realize high capacity and speed diffCDMA The phase continuity. primary DQPSK, which has already reported in VTC98 as the first solution for 2 Mbps/ 8 Mbps diffCDMA, is retrieved here to realize the higher reliability and frequency efficiency 2 Mbps/ 4 Mbps diffCDMA Virtual segment interleaving is successfully discussed in this paper to reduce chip rating as one of the important solutions for effective frequency usage without introducing any problem in system reliability and complexity. Both continuous phase primary modulation and continuous chip shaping are also enhanced in this proposing 2Mbps/ 4Mcps diffCDMA.</summary>

抄録: This paper reports and discusses some measurements of daylight and solar radiation during the period from December 1993 to November 1998. To obtain data of daylight and solar radiation, measurements have been taken of illuminance and irradiance on horizontal (global and diffuse) and four vertical planes facing north, east, south and west. Instantaneous values of illuminance and irradiance at one-minute intervals have been recorded in these measurements. The two horizontal diffuse sensors were each fitted with a shading ring which was adjusted manually every day. The data presented in this paper were calculated from the average of ten-minute readings of illuminance and irradiance. Direct solar illuminance and irradiance were calculated by subtracting diffuse from global, and each luminous efficacy was calculated as the ratio of average direct solar illuminance to irradiance.</summary>

抄録: From the frequency usage efficiency points of view, the novel CDMA with phase continuity QPSK is proposed in this paper to achieve such high reliability as shown in free space propagation, and is also discussed in system capability to get significant scheme for system design. Phase continuity is facilitated by substituting smoothing function over adjacent symbol fringes, in which the function touches current and next frame phase values with 0th order contact and varies with the steepest gradient just at the center. Simulations are verified to be error free to transmit 2 Mbps over 7.282 MHz bandwidth by employing diffCDMA with phase continuous QPSK without any compensations. The system configuration is also optimized through simulations to be defined by 11.651 MHz bandwidth, where the necessary Eb/No is -11.5 dB for error free in 2-rap Rayleigh fading environment of DUR=10 dB with 1 micro second delay over 2 GHz domain.</summary>
