抄録: In recently, drainage pavement has come to be adopted as a traffic accident object. However, if permeable pavement is attained, it will become possible to make it useful to plus of groundwater and a flood of the river by local severe rain and prevention of a heat island phenomenon. On the other hand, importance is attached also to the problem of industrial waste. And the necessity for recycling of construction waste is also cried for. In this research, construction waste was used instead of filler used for the surface course and base course. It is waste gypsum recycled from the gypsum board, and examined the possibility of the use. It examined the alkalization preventive measure at the time of using a granulated slag about a subgrade and subbase course. 抄録: It has been demonstrated that, when one points a finger at a target placed at a short distance of 40 to 50 cm, the accuracy of pointing increases as the target size decreases. The purpose of our experiment is to prove that the accuracy in ball throwing increases as the target size decreases when throwing a ball at a target placed at a long distance. The subjects who participated in the experiment were all college sports players, consisting of 4 baseball players, 2 handball players, 2 softball players and 2 American football players. Four target sizes were used, which were 10cm in dia. (small), 30cm in dia. (medium), 60cm in dia. (large) and no target. Each subject threw the ball at a different distance set for each respective sport to enable optimum control in ball throwing for the sport. Each subject threw a total of 800 balls, throwing 200 balls at each type of target. Thus a total of 8,000 balls were thrown by all the subjects. The accuracy in ball throwing was evaluated by using the average distance between the target center and the point where the ball hit the board the target was marked on. The results show the following:1. For all subjects who specialized in handball, softball and American football, the highest accuracy in ball throwing was observed with the small target, which was followed by the medium-size target, the large target and no target in descending order. 2. For all subjects who specialized in baseball, the highest accuracy in ball throwing was observed with the medium-size target, which was followed by the small target, the large target and no target in descending order. 抄録: In order to improve the performance of fractal image coding, this paper proposes two new coding schemes which are combined with sub-band decomposition and vector quantization. In the first proposed scheme, fractal block coding or vector qantization is employed block by block adaptively. In the second proposed scheme, an input image is first decomposed to low and high resolution sub-band images. The fractal block conding with adaptive range block size is performed only for the lowest resolution sub-band image. On the other hand, vector quantization is carried out for the other high resolution sub-band images. 抄録: The purpose of our experiment is to clarify how the batter perceives the speed of the second ball thrown at him after experiencing the speed of the first ball. 16 combinations of four ball speeds, 110km/h, 120km/h, 130km/h and 140km/h, were studied in 36 high school baseball players. The main results of the experiment are summarized as follows: 1. If the speed of the second ball was equal to that of the first ball, the batter perceived the former to be equal to the latter, regardless of the speed applied. 2. If the speed of the second ball was faster than that of the first ball, it was observed that the greater the difference between the speeds of the two balls, the faster the batter perceived the speed of the second ball to be. 3 If the speed of the second ball was slower than that of the first ball, it was observed that the greater the difference between the speeds of the two balls, the slower the batter perceived the speed of the second ball to be.2003-03-30T15:00:00Z
