抄録: In our recent paper, we have published an equation relating the odor concentration of a compound odor to its material concentration given as the sum of those of the ingredients, and now, making certain assumptions, we have derived second ones, eq. (6) and (8), of simplified form. Employing these two and further, eqs. (7) and (14), we have examined some of characteristics of a compound odor. The results are as under : (1) Regarding the relation between odor concentration and odor intensity, it was found, as shown in Table 2,that odor intensities of 3 and 3.5 correspond respectively to odor concentrations of 30 and 70. (2) When the decrease in material concentration changes in a manner of a geometrical progression, the fall in odor intensity proceeds in an arithmetic progression; thus it can be seen that if the concentration be reduced by half, the intensity should remain practically unaltered. Additionally, we applied eqs. 抄録: Marsden and Taylor derived a quadrature formula for a Fourier integral whose form is the correction of Discrete Fourier Coefficients by the difference of higher order derivatives of f(χ) at the end points. Polynomial splines are used so that the coefficients in this formula are chosen to make the error vanish if f(χ) is a spline of degree κ. This formula is a good one, but the coefficients required in a actual computation are not yet given in a convenient form. To prevent the numerical instability in this formula, we derived another form of coefficients in this article. 抄録: Fundamental positioning characteristics of a dual-axis Sawyer linear motor are described. The Sawyer motor is capable of high positional accuracy. An electronic control unit of the motor whose velocity is proportional to the excitation frequency is producted in our laboratory. The positioning system is constructed using two Sawyer motors, an air bearings suspension unit and an electronic control unit. The stable motion of the motor is confirmed on the open loop operation. The adjustable operating conditions are the live load is 1Kg, the maximun acceleration is 1.2G, the maximun velocity is 350mmls. The travel time of the motor is 180ms for distance at 50mm. Absolute positional accuracy is improved within ±5μm, on microstep operating conditions of dividing for 508μm of 1 pitch into 508 steps. The following two conclusions are obtained. An accelerating-slewing-decelerating control is effective for reduction in the travel time required. 抄録: In this study, the elastic wave method was applied for estimating the location of inclusion such as void and steel plate, as the fundamental investigation to establish a new non-destructive testing technique for concrete. In the experiments, plate specimens of dimension 30×30×10cm were used. In the analysis, a 2-dimensional finite element method was used to solve the equations of elastic waves for concrete plates with inclusion such as void and steel plate and the wave propagation analyses and the frequency response analyses were carried out. Following results were obtained in this study : 1) The location of void and steel plate can be most accurately estimated by using a resonance technique among techniques applied in this experiments (resonance technique and flection technique). 2) In the reflection technique, it is necessary to set two transducers to keep the angle from the top of inclusion at the best reflectionangle, so as to improve the accuracy for estimating its location. 3) The accuracy of location estimation can be raised by combining the result of frequency analysis of measured waveform. 4) The inclusion location in concrete can be predicted exactly from the frequency characteristics, when the reflection wave is clearly detected.1992-03-30T15:00:00Z
